Mrs Phuntsok Dolma, 80 years old, fled to exile after the occupation of Tibet in 1959. The journey across the Himalayas was a life-threatening and painful experience.
She settled down at the Indo-Tibetan border in Jangthang Hanley, a remote place in Ladakh and continued her nomadic lifestyle. After getting married, the couple worked as a nomad. Unfortunately, due to the cold, all the livestock disappeared.
Today their seven children are married and have their own families with the poor living condition.
Only their son, who works in the army, can look after his parents, but he can visit them only once a year.
Mr Bhu Dawa, the husband, is in weak health and bedridden. Mo Dolma-la has old age problems, but still, she takes care of her husband.
The living condition of the couple is poor.
Therefore, we are pleading to the kind-hearted people for support.
Your generous help and support would be highly appreciated.
THANK YOU
